Top Ten Books I Need to Read Now!

So I’m kind of cheating for this TTT. The prompt is books that were recently added to your TBR, but I’ll be doing Top Ten recently added to my TBR- by my owning them. I’ve been buying and borrowing a ton of books lately, so this’ll be a good checklist of everything to come in the near future, as they’re going to be my next reads.

toptentuesday2

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

Winter by Marissa Meyer

13206900

I can’t believe I haven’t even started this one yet! The Lunar Chronicles is an absolute favorite of mine so it’s completely ludicrous that I haven’t even begun the last book in the series; I got it for my birthday in December! This’ll probably be the first one I read when I get a moment.

The Accident Season by Moira Fowley-Doyle

23346358

I bought this one solely because Cait at Paper Fury loved it. Horrah for blogger trust!

The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton

18166936

I bought this one because Steph at SDCB said she thought I’d love it. Also because the cover is holographic. Because.. impulse buying.

The Heir by Kiera Cass

22918050

I own all of The Selection books and was planning to end it there… until I noticed my library had this one. Which is good- if I bought all of the books in The Selection series, it’d take up 1/3 of my bookcase.

A White Room by Stephanie Carroll

17495984

To be fair, I don’t actually own this one. But it’s on the very top(ish) of my list of priorities!!

Future Winds by Kevin Laymon

24871458

I’m actually in the middle of my second readthrough of this one, because it’s the type of book you really need to read twice to get all of the details. You can read my review HERE.

Willow by Julia Hoban

4570768

I actually have next to no interest in this book, but I own it so… eh. I don’t like the idea of owning a book that I haven’t read.

It Happened One Wedding by Julie James

18136549

I got this one at the RT Booklover’s convention! Which is pretty great, as I’ll be getting married soon(ish)!

So those are the books that are soon to be on my review list. I think this is a really great prompt (even though I cheated) and I look forward to seeing what everyone else has on their TBR!

  1. Hi!
I actually read The Accident Season quite recently because Cait recommended it and OMG IT IS SUCH A GOOD BOOK 😀 I experienced all the feels! I look forward to hearing what you think of The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton.

  2. WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOT READING WINTER? *gasp* But seriously, it’s really good and I hope you love it.

Also, yes, blogger trust is wonderful and I’ve already bought several books on Cait’s recommendation. The Accident Season is pretty high on my list of priority bookish wants, and to be honest, I’m pretty much bound to (eventually) buy everything Cait recommends because she has good taste.

I haven’t read The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender, but I want to. It looks super good. And yeah, I haven’t read the Selection series either, and I think I’ll wait till the last book is out and then, at some point, buy it in one fell swoop and then marathon it. Gah, so many things to read.

I totally understand not wanting to have unread books chilling out on your shelves for forever. I have so many books, and I think about a half of them are unread, and it bugs me a lot. I like rereading a bunch, which slows me down, and I tend to get new books frequently enough that I’m always on my toes and I haven’t had much chance to make progress on my back log. But I’m hoping to have everything on my shelves read within the next two or three years so I can actually feel like they’re mine.

    • Rereading is wonderful! There’s just something special about an author whose book is good enough that you want to reread it. I have SO many books on my shelf that I couldn’t even tell you what the synopsis is.. it’s horrible. It’s my goal to someday have all of them read and have a bookshelf of only books I love after I give everything else away. I’ll start giveaways someday! Also, does EVERYONE know Cait?
      But Thanks for visiting!

  3. There are too many amazing books in the world to waste time reading ones that don’t interest you! Pass Willow on to a friend or donate it! 🙂

A White Room sounds pretty good! I’m all about those Victorian-themed novels these days lol

    • That’s how I feel! I guess it’s the reason I check out so many hyped books, and won’t generally look twice at a book that doesn’t come recommended. But so long as I have it in my possession, what if I miss out on a book I would have otherwise loved because I’m not willing to give it a try?
      Anyways, thanks for visiting!

  4. Winter was one of my favorite books of 2015 and was such an amazing end to the Lunar Chronicles quartet, so I cannot wait to see what you think of it! The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender and The Accident Season are really good too. Thanks for sharing and, as always, fabulous choices! ❤
