Top Ten Things I’m Thankful for that Aren’t Books

What? This week’s meme isn’t about books at all? I took a break at a strange time. But it’s still a great prompt!

Top Ten Things I’m Thankful for that Aren’t Books:

  1) I’m thankful for my in-laws.

Weird, right? Especially being the first thing on the list. But I actually absolutely adore my in-laws. They have taught me so much about life, my fiance, and even myself that I honestly don’t know who I’d be without them and my man.

2) I’m thankful for God.

I have so many blessings in my life, and I’m sure there are so many of them that aren’t a coincidence. Maybe even all of them. I have problems in my life, as everyone does, but I go through life with a strong feeling that everything’s going to be okay, and I credit that to my faith.

Faith has also helped me through so much in my life, and I was astonished to find that there were so many answers in the bible that I had no idea about. Like, I thought the bible pretty much said “Love each other and love God,” but it’s actually helped with things as obscure as sleep issues and losing my car.

3) I’m thankful for my job.

Don’t get me wrong- I absolutely hate my job. Like, with a burning passion. In fact, about 80% of my problems can be blamed on my job. But if it wasn’t for that job, I wouldn’t be able to pay the bills, so thank you, job. Even though you suck.

  4) I’m thankful for blogging.

Who doing this list isn’t? But I can’t say reading so I’ll just mention the second-best fulfilling time-waster I know. I’m also thankful for comments!

  5) I’m thankful for the comfort of my life.

There are so many people out there that don’t have even the simplest of comforts that I do, like a bed to sleep in and a working laundry machine. When I look at things that way, it’s pretty easy to be thankful for everything.

I know it’s only five, but I think “everything” pretty much summed the rest up! So what are you thankful for? Leave a comment and I’ll visit back!

  1. Naww, this is such a sweet list! It’s nice to reflect back and be thankful for how privileged we are at times. And I love hearing that you’re close with your in-laws. There’s too often conflict in those sorts of relationships, and it’s refreshing to hear someone that overcame that.

    • Haha, trust me, it wasn’t easy, but I think most of it was my fault because I EXPECTED to not get along with them! Looking forward to sharing Thanksgiving with a family I love. Thanks for visiting!
