Toothless

Somebody ordered toothless!

So I made them toothless.

Though I have to say, pictures of black yarn always come out horribly. He’s much cuter in person.

Happy Friday, Everyone!

Probably my Most Unusual Order

So a little while ago I put myself out these as available for strangers to order from me. I’ve already shown a couple of those orders on my blog, but probably the most unusual one that was requested was “a teardrop with a face and wings.”

So there it is.

Yup.

Happy Friday, Everyone!

Pretty Pitty

I have a friend that used to be a co-worker who’s in love with her pet pitbull. She’s had her Sugar for a long time, and that dog is her child. So I thought she’d really like a mini-replica of her!

She ended up pretty happy with the surprise gift, so I’m glad!

Happy Friday, Everyone!

Koala!.. And Tree!

A got an order a little while ago for a koala! Her specifications were to make sure it was koala-shaped, because all of the other koala stuffed animals she found stood on two legs. I told her I could make her a cozy, so it’d be hugging a mug, and she asked straight out if it could just be hugging a tree.

I’ll have to admit, I was a little concerned I wouldn’t be able to make a “cute” tree, but I think it came out well!

I’m actually rather proud of him.

Happy Friday, Everyone!

Canadian Jellyfish!

This jellyfish is my very first out-of-country order! I’ll have to admit, I was pretty surprised to get an order from Canada! (And equally surprised by the shipping fees..) But here he is!

And in the box on his way to Canada! (The customer asked me to add rosy cheeks last-minute).

He was actually pretty fun to make! And definitely something I’d like to do again. I think I know someone that’d be interested in having one as a gift, this may not be the last jellyfish you see on here!

Happy Friday, Everyone!

Comfort Kitty!

I loved making this cute little thing!

I’ll have to admit that the pictures came out pretty horribly, but there’s a reason he’s so awkwardly shaped. This little kitty is stuffed with dried lavender, designed to promote calmness and have a very comforting smell.

Crocheting the lavender into him was the best thing ever! I was in heaven the whole time I was stitching him together. That being said, if anyone’s interested in their own comfort kitty (or any other animal) I’d be happy to oblige! Now that I’ve figured out the shape, the new ones would probably look a little better.

Happy Friday, Everyone!

Cute Animal Keychains!

Hey, keychains!

A customer requested these for herself and her boyfriend. At first, I wasn’t a fan of the big-head look, but it grew on me.

Aaaaanddd… that’s all I have to say about that!

Here’s some more pictures!

Happy Friday, Everyone!

Essential Oil Pouches!

Whoops! I accidentally took a long break from blogging! I had a couple of posts lined up, so I guess I had less time plotted out than I thought! But I definitely have things to show, so after today, I’ll be going back to my regular schedule of a post every Friday. In the meantime, here’s a quick update!

One of the things I’ve been making lately are essential oils pouches!

The pouches were inspired by my mother, who’s recently opened an essential oils aromatherapy and gift shop here in town! I’ve always liked to insert my crocheting into all aspects of my life, so this was a big one for me. Especially since I carry around these roll-ons wherever I go!

The very first two picture depict my own personal pouch, and the last one is a pouch I made for her for mother’s day. The ones in between were requests.

The pouch I made for mom has pockets to carry full roll ons, but also smaller spaces to hold sample bottles. The point of it was to be an on-the-go mixer, where she could create remedies on the go if she ever ran across the need, with the pouch stretching out to be both a holder and a workmat. I think it came out nicely!

Here’s some more pictures of all of them.

Happy Sunday, Everyone!

It’s a Dragon!

Recently I’ve joined a website called Simbi, where you can trade your arts/crafts for someone else’s! I love the community, and I’m having a lot of fun talking with everyone there! It wasn’t too long before I got my first order. A dragon! I’d never made one before, so the prospect of making one for a stranger to “buy” was unnerving, but I told them I’d give it a try. This is what I came up with!

The verdict? She loved it! Maybe more than anyone has loved anything I’ve made. It was so uplifting!

Overall, I’m very pleased with the cute little thing, and was so happy for the opportunity to make her!

Happy Friday everyone!
